Days of Palestine, West Bank –The Israeli occupation forces arrested 78 Palestinian females, including minors in the first quarter of this year.
Palestinian Prisoners Centre for Studies said that this year witnesses a clear escalation regarding the detention of Palestinian females, including minors. “Most of them were arrested inside the Sanctuary Yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque,” the NGO said.

Riyad al-Ashqar, the head of the NGO, said that the women arrested from the Sanctuary Yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque were defending the holy site from the almost daily invasions of the Israeli settlers.
“Most of them were released, but the Israeli occupation issued expulsion orders lasted for three years against them, as well as they were ordered to pay massive fines,” Al-Ashqar said.

He also noted that the suffering of the female prisoners has increased during the past months, especially the sudden night research which is always carried out by male Israeli soldiers without pre-warnings.
The NGO called for the international organisations and official bodies to immediately intervene to put an end to the suffering of the female prisoners. He also called for mass media to shed the light over the issue of the female prisoners.
