Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces arrested on Monday ten Palestinian children in Jerusalem and occupied West Bank.
Local Palestinian sources said that a large number of Israeli occupation forces broke into the occupied city of Jerusalem on Monday morning and arrested two Palestinian children in Al-Iesawiyya town, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The two children were dragged to an Israeli interrogation centre, probed for two hours without the presence of any relative and ten remanded for further interrogation.
In the afternoon, the Israeli military police arrested two Palestinian children at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and four others in the Sanctuary Yard.
Sources said that the two arrested at the gates were accused of throwing stones at the Israeli police, while the four arrested inside the Mosque were arrested while playing footballs in the Yards.
Eyewitnesses said that the age of the children ranged between 11 and 15 years. They were identified as: Bashar Najib, Tawfiq Najib, Amir al-Maliki, Abed al-Bakri, Ayman Hashima and Hussein Awad.
According to the eyewitness, the Israeli police dragged the children to Beit El-Yahu interrogation centre in Jerusalem. The Israeli soldiers assaulted several Palestinians attempted to undermine the arrest.
Meanwhile, a large group of Israeli forces stormed the village of Beit Amer and arrested two Palestinian boys.
Sources said that the boys are Jihad Sabarneh, 15, and Fadi al-Ja’ar, 14. Both are students at Beit Amer Primary School.
The sources said that the two children were dragged to the interrogation centre of the Israeli intelligence in Etzion Military Camp, south of Al-Khalil. No more news about what happened with the children after the interrogation.
