Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli authorities handed over late on Sunday demolition notices to five Palestinian families in Jerusalem town of Silwan.
Wadi Al-Hilweh Information Centre in Silwan said that the Palestinian homes to be demolished by the Israeli occupation are located in Ein Al-Louza and Beir Ayyoub neighbourhoods in Silwan, Jerusalem.
According to the Information Centre, the soldiers who accompanied the city council staff to the two neighbourhoods took pictures of several roads and homes.
Then, the Information Centre added, the soldiers glued the orders on five Palestinian homes, including a building under construction yet.
Regarding the house in Beir Ayyoub, which is owned by the Palestinian citizen Walid Abdul-Razeq, the Information Centre said that it was built before the 1967 Israeli occupation of the eastern part of the city of Jerusalem.
Abdul-Razeq said that this is the fifth order he received despite the fact that he never built or added any room to his home, and that the order did not even include any name.
“This home belongs to my father Ahmad Abdul-Razeq, he lived here with my family since before the Israeli occupation,” Walid said, “He even got married in this home; my father died nine years ago.”
“Now, I live here with my wife, our five kids, and my mother”, he added, “the oldest of my children is 15, while the youngest is just two years.”
