Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –More than 30 Jewish Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli border police, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday morning.
An employee in Al-Awqaf Department said that 31 Jewish Israeli settlers stormed the Mosque through Al-Magharbeh Gate heading to the Sanctuary Yards.
The settlers were protected by 35 members of the heavily-armed Israeli border police.
Palestinian worshipers attempted the stop the settlers from entering into the Mosque, but the police prevented them.
Meanwhile, Al-Awqaf employees spotted an extremist Israeli settlers pretending as a tourist while he was performing mythical Talmudic rituals.
For about seven months, the Israeli occupation authorities have been imposing strict restrictions on the entrance of the Palestinian worshipers into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
At the same time, they gave the extremist Jewish settlers and their rabbis the freedom to desecrate it under police and army protection.
These measures come in the context of official Israeli plans to partition the Mosque, specifying certain times and locations for Muslims and Jewish settlers. An Arab Knesset member revealed these plans a couple of months ago.
