Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Three-month old baby girl was announced on Sunday night fourth victim of the ongoing cold wave in Gaza Strip.
Infant Salma al-Masri from the northern Gaza city of Beit Hanoun was announced dead after she had been rushed to hospital suffering frost bites in her limbs.
Spokesman of the Palestinian Minsiter of Health Ashraf al-Qidra said that the infant arrived dead to hospital.
The infant’s family has been living in a UN-run shelter since the 51-day savage Israeli war, when the house of the family was attacked by an Israeli warplane.
Earlier on Saturday, the head of the Palestinian Fishermen Syndication Nizar Ayish said that fisherman Ahmed al-Laham from the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis froze to death.
Ayish said that Al-Laham, 22, attended his work with a good health condition. While working, he started to suffer a severe cold and immediately died.
Previously, two infants were announced froze to death in the south of the Gaza Strip.
All of the people announced dead as a result of the cold snap were living in shelters of makeshift houses since the Israeli war on Gaza last summer.
