Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Two Palestinian fishermen were seriously wounded on Wednesday afternoon after being shot by Israeli navy.
One of the two fishermen, named Fakher abu-Riyaleh, 25, sustained serious injuries, Palestinian medical sources in Gaza said.
Witnesses, from the fishermen working with Abu-Riyaleh, said that the Israeli navy opened automatic fire towards them while they are too far from the fishing limits specified by the Israeli authorities.
In addition, the witnesses said, the Israeli navy blocked the fishermen from evacuating their colleague from the sea for treatment.
“We appealed for them [Israeli navy] and told them that the man was likely suffering serious injuries and he was bleeding,” one of the witnesses told Days of Palestine.
“Unfortunately, they did not listen to our appeals and completed their normal patrolling and daily provocation for us,” he added.
The Israeli occupation and the Palestinian fighters have reached a ceasefire on August 26, after a 51-day onslaught in Gaza, mediated by the Egyptian coup government.
Since then, the Israeli occupation has carried out tens of violations without being reviewed by the mediator, which is candidly supporting the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians.
