Days of Palestine, Reports –Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim al-Thani said on Thursday that his country supports all Palestinians, noting that Hamas has changed since ten years.
Speaking with the CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, the Emir he stressed that his country does not prefer one Palestinian faction over the other, calling for reviewing the change of Hamas’ agenda in the last ten years.
“We support all Palestinian people,” he said, “we believe Hamas is a very important part of the Palestinian people.”
He asked and answered: “What is the difference between Hamas ten years ago and Hamas now? I believe the difference is that Hamas are more realistic now.”
The Emir explained: “They [Hamas leaders] believe in peace and they want peace. But it is for the other party to believe in peace as well and to be more realistic.”
