Days of Palestine, New York –Tunisian President Moncef al-Marzouki stressed Thursday on the importance of lifting the eight-year old Israeli siege on Gaza Strip.
Speaking in the 69th meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, Al-Marzouki also called for enabling the Palestinians to build their seaport and airport, as well as opening the Rafah Crossing.
Al-Marzouki considered these issues a preamble for achieving the legitimate Palestinian demands based on the right to establish a secure and connected independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
At the same time, he called for rebuilding the Gaza Strip as soon as possible in order to enable Gaza children to return back to their schools and play and study like other children.
