Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –An Israeli settler “intentionally” ran over a Palestinian child on Thursday evening in the occupied Jerusalem neighbourhood of Silwan.
Spokesman of Wadi Al-Hilwah Information Centre Majd Gheith said that Adam al-Risheq, 10, was chased, cornered, and run over by a fortified car driven by an Israeli settler.
Gheith stressed that the settler had “intentionally” ran over the Palestinian child as he chased him and cornered him in the side of the road.
Al-Risheq suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Haddasah Hospital for treatment. Medical sources in the hospital said that he had his hand broken and several bruises around his body.
East Jerusalem has been under Israeli military occupation since 1967, and today around 300,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements inside Palestinian neighbourhoods.
Aggression of Israeli settlers are repeated almost everyday. On Wednesday, Israeli settlers failed to kidnap a Palestinian child while he was returning home after dropping his sister off to her school.
Weeks ago, three settlers kidnapped a Palestinian child, tortured him and burnt him to death.
Two weeks ago, and Israeli settler ran over a Palestinian boy on Wednesday in the West Bank city of Al-Khalil.
The strange thing is that all Israeli settlers, who have been accused of carrying out aggressions against Palestinians boys were set free by Israeli courts.
