Days of Palestine, Cairo –Indirect talks between Palestinian fighters and Israeli occupation to resume on Wednesday, a Palestinian source said on Saturday.
“Egypt has invited Palestinian and Israeli delegations to resume talks in Cairo on September 24,” a Palestinian Arab official said; an Egyptian official confirmed, adding Fatah and Hamas have been invited to meet on Monday.
Several have noted that Wednesday evening marks the start of the Jewish New Year, meaning the renewed negotiations will conflict with the holiday.
A Jewish news website said that concern was addressed by an Israeli official, who later on Saturday confirmed the date of the truce talks but said Israel had requested the talks start earlier to try and minimise conflict with the holiday.

Just last Tuesday, Israel agreed to a UN proposal to immediately allow construction materials into Gaza with some sort of oversight mechanism, but nothing has been seen on the ground yet.
In the renewed round of negotiations under an Egyptian intermediary the thorniest demands on both sides are to be raised.
An open-ended ceasefire between the Palestinian fighters and the Israeli occupation was reached on August 26, ending a 51-day of massive Israeli war on Gaza. The war left around 2,160 Palestinians dead and more than 11,000 wounded, UN said, most of them were civilians.
