Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Two Palestinians were killed and three others were wounded on Friday afternoon as an Israeli leftover missile blew up in Sheja’ia, eastern Gaza City.
People in Gaza reported a huge explosion was heard in the Sheja’ia neighbourhood and ambulances rushed to the scene immediately.
Spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Ashraf al-Qidra said that two Palestinians were killed in the explosion and three others were wounded.
Al-Qidra named the dead as Ayman abu-Jobba, 23, and Abdullah abu-Aser, 23, and said that their bodies were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
During the latest Israeli war, six people, including a three journalists –one of them Italian– were killed in a similar incident.
Hundreds of unexploded Israeli missiles have been found in different place along the Gaza Strip. A big number of people reported unexploded missiles in their partially damaged houses, as well as in their farms.
