Days of Palestine, West Bank/Gaza Strip –Israeli court sentenced on Thursday an old Palestinian woman for 12 months in prions, severely beating her husband and taking him away from the courtyard.
Shadi Balawhen, the son of Rasmiyeh Balawneh, said that an Israeli military court sentenced his mother to 12 months in prison, while the Israeli soldiers inside the court beat his father and took him to an unknown place.
“They did not respect her age and gender,” Shadi, who is a former prisoner in Israeli jails and expelled from the occupied West Bank to the Gaza Strip, said.
He also said that his father was severely beaten in the head and other parts of his body before he was pulled out from the courtyard to an anonymous place.
Meanwhile, another Israeli military court in Tulkarm sentenced a Palestinian MP for 12 months in prison over accusations of taking part in a pro-prisoners protest.
Sources said that MP Riyad Raddad, 55, was sentenced to 12 months in prison on Thursday. Raddad has spent seven years inside Israeli jails before his current detention.
