Sources said that Israeli buses, protected by a large number of Israeli troops, dropped the hundreds of the Israeli settlers in Nablus. The settlers, the sources said, performed Talmudic rituals in the Tomb of Yousef, which belongs to Muslim scholar while Jews claim it belongs to a Jewish rabbi.
As the Israeli settlers were carrying out their rituals, the Israeli troops imposed strict curfew on the surround neighbourhoods in order to prevent clashes with Palestinians. However, clashes erupted, but no casualties were reported.
Desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque
Meanwhile, 40 extremist Israeli settlers with a number of Jewish rabbis broke into the Noble Yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals.
Witnesses from inside the Mosque told Days of Palestine that the Palestinian worshipers tried to prevent them from entering inside the prayer buildings.
Israeli media reported on Tuesday that the Israeli settlers were preparing for this incursion since several days ago.
Director of Information Committee in Al-Aqsa Association for Waqf and Islamic Heritage Mohamed abul-Ata said that there is gathering for the settlers in the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem later on today and another meeting in Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil to be held on Thursday.
