Days of Palestine, Occupied Palestine –Remain of around 200 bodies of Palestinian victims, killed by the Jewish gangs in 1948, were found last week in six mass graves in Jaffa, near Tel Aviv.
The bodies in these mass graves are believed to belong to the victims of a massacre carried out by extremist Jewish militias, which killed thousands of Palestinians in, before and after 1948
An official in the Islamic Cemetery in Jaffa said that the mass graves were found when a group of workers were carrying out renovation works in the area.
He also said that up to 200 victims might have been buried in the graves and an unknown additional number in the other graves.
Researcher and Historian Mahmoud Obaid said: “The remains in the mass graves belong to people of different ages, including women, children and elderly.”
Obaid added: “Signs of violence are very clear in a big number of the bodies.”
In 1948, Jewish militias, supported by the UK, USA and other West and Arab states, forced around 760,000 Palestinians out of their homes un the knife of fearful massacres.
Thousands of unarmed Palestinians were killed and hundreds of Palestinian villages vanished. Palestinian cities were turned to Israeli cities with majority of Jewish residents.
