Days of Palestine, Doha –Head of Hamas Political Bureau Khalid Mesh’al said on Thursday that the Israeli massive war on Gaza failed to undermine abilities of Palestinian resistance.
“The seven-week massive war proved that resistance cannot be blockaded,” Mesh’al said in a press conference held in Doha.
He also said that the war failed to undermine the Palestinian national unity. “The Israeli occupation wanted to attack our national unity and is currently looking for an imaginary victory,” he said as he congratulated the Palestinian people on their victory.
The Hamas leader stressed that the popular support was a main reason behind the resistance victory. “Without the popular support in Gaza, the resistance would not have won,” he said.

“One of the main aims of the war was to segregate the Palestinian people.”
Meshaal also called upon Egypt to open the Rafah Crossing, and called upon the Israeli occupation to end the occupation of the Palestinian lands and let the Palestinians determine their destination.
“We have no problem with Jews or their religion,” he said, “Our problem is with the occupation, settlement and stealing our lands.”
The Hamas leader insisted the weapon of the resistance is “sacred” and that Palestinians would not accept any deal stipulates giving up resistance arms.
Meshaal also thanked Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and the nations of Latin America that had been steadfast in their support for Palestine and the Palestinian resistance.
“The people of Gaza have become a symbol of steadfastness and an honourable example to the entire world,” he said, “all Palestinians in Gaza and free people in the world are partners in this victory.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
