“Any return to the negotiations will depend on if the resistance feels that the Israeli occupation is willing to meet Palestinian demands, without evasiveness and foot-dragging,” Hamas Spokesman Sami abu-Zuhri told Days of Palestine.
“We will not agree to negotiate just for the sake of negotiation,” said Abu-Zuhri, “then, we go back to the zero point. We do not want to waste time.”
The Palestinian resistance wanted the strict eight-year-old Israeli siege fully lifted, prisoners, who previously released in Shalit Swap and rearrested, be released, permission to build a seaport and airport.
In addition, they wanted the expansion of fishing zone in the Mediterranean and cancelling military zone on eastern borders of Gaza.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt called earlier today upon both the Palestinians and the Israelis to return back to Cairo for indirect ceasefire talks.
The Israeli occupation met the Egytpain invitation with arrogance and said its preparing for a second ground operation.
Israeli Communications and Home Front Defence Minister and security cabinet member Gilad Erdan told the Israeli TV Channel 2 that they are “closer than ever” to launching a new ground operation in Gaza.
