Days of Palestine, Cairo –Palestinian informed source, close to the delegation in Cairo, has said that Israeli occupation planned to resume war before issue of three rockets.
The source spoke to Days of Palestine that the Israeli delegation to the indirect ceasefire talks in Cairo did not accept the issue of the seaport and insisted on disarming Palestinians fighters.
He did not link the ongoing deterioration of the situation in Gaza to the three rockets claimed by the Israeli army launched from Gaza and landed in Be’er Sheva. “The problem in the talks is fundamental,” said the source, “the talks reached a dead end.”
“The Palestinian delegation demands the ceasefire agreement specifically states a seaport will be built in Gaza,” the source continued, “but the discussion on the details would be postponed for later.” Israeli occupation refused these demands.
Israeli sources claimed earlier that three rockets launched from the Gaza Strip and landed in Be’er Sheva, east of the enclave.
In response, Israeli occupation forces carried out tens of attacks against Palestinian targets along the Gaza Strip. Five Palestinian civilians were wounded, including three children.
Hamas denied that rockets were launched from the Strip and accused the Israeli occupation of creating excuses in order to resume its attack on civilians. “Thus, it [occupation] will not be blamed for the collapse of the talks,” Sami abu-Zuhri, Hamas spokesman, said.
