Days of Palestine – Gaza
Chairman of Qatar’s Committee for Reconstruction of Gaza said that the committee has started Thursday the disbursement of cash assistance to needy families in the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD).
Mohamed al-Emadi explained that the aid will be distributed to around 95,000 families, indicating that each family in need will receive $100.
According to Emadi, the aid distribution process will take place through the United Nations, which has set more than 300 distribution centers for this purpose.

The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology of the State of Palestine activated a platform to receive inquiries from beneficiaries.
This is the second disbursement of grants to families in Gaza under a new mechanism through the UN.
In addition to allowing the Qatari funds into Gaza, the Israeli authorities eased some of the restrictions it has imposed before, including expanding the permissible fishing zone along the southern part of the Gaza coast to 15 nautical miles and allowing more goods to be transferred through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
They also increased the water supply to the Gaza Strip by an additional 5 million cubic meters. The number of Gazan traders with permits to pass through the Erez crossing was raised from 2,000 to 7,000.
