Oman and Kuwait have strongly condemned today, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, attacking Palestinian worshipers inside, and detaining many of them.
In a statement, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that these extremist practices of the Israeli occupation forces are a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law, which inflames the feelings of Palestinians and Muslims worldwide.
It called on the international community to deter the continued and illegal provocative practices of the Israeli occupation, which contradict international principles and norms of respect for religious sanctities.
Oman also called for enabling the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights by ending the Israeli occupation and achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
Meanwhile, Kuwait denounced the Israeli brutal attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday and called for urgent interference from the international community to end Israeli crimes.
It called the UN Security Council to take “serious and effective steps to stop the provocative Israeli violations,” and to work to provide protection for Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Yesterday night, Israeli troops invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked the Palestinian worshipers brutally, detained over 400 worshipers, and injured dozens of others. They also destroyed the content of the prayer halls and prevented Palestinians from praying in their mosques.
