The Ministry of Detainees and Ex-detainees in the Gaza Strip declared Saturday, September 10, 2022 that there are now 274 deans of the Palestinian prisoners movement, who served more than 20 years, still inside Israeli jails.
The ministry noted in a brief statement that the number of convicts who spent more than twenty years in Israeli jails incresed today with the accession of the Palestinian prisoner, Raed Hassan Abdel Jalil from Nablus who just entered his 21st year in prison today.
By the end of May, there were around 4,600 Palestinian prisoners in the prisons under occupation, including 31 women, 172 children, 682 administrative detainees, 500 sick prisoners, 551 convicts receiving life sentences and 214 detainess who spent more than 20 years inside Israeli prisons.
