Moroccans held Tuesday, 29 November 2022 several protests around the kingdom to mark the international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people despite the state’s Normalization of ties with the Israeli apartheid.
Dozens of pro-Palestine activists gathered at place Saraghna in Casablanca city, holding keffiyehs and Palestinian flags and chanting “Palestine is a trust, normalization is treason,” for hours, calling on the Moroccan state to end its “shameful” ties with “the apartheid regime of Israel.”
Since 1978, 29 November was marked as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
The international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people was chosen because of its meaning and significance to the Palestinian people and based on the call by the United Nations General Assembly for an annual observance of the resolution on the partition of Palestine.
Morocco is set to celebrate two years of normalisation with Israel on the 12th of December.
