The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States appealed to the United Nations, especially the Security Council, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, to take a firm stance towards the daily Israeli killings and displacement of the Palestinian people and to confront the Israeli crimes and settlement policies, which constitute violations of international law, and the relevant Security Council resolutions.
In a statement on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the Kafr Qassem massacre, the League of Arab States called on the international community to take all deterrent measures that would stop the continuing Israeli violations against the Palestinians, by securing international protection for the Palestinian people in their homeland, ending the occupation, and enabling them to exercise their right to freedom and self-determination.
It called for taking the necessary measures to compel the occupation authorities to recognize their full legal, moral and political responsibility for all the massacres and crimes they have committed throughout their occupation against the Palestinians.
It condemned all racist and terrorist Israeli practices against the Palestinian people and the systematic violation of their national and human rights.
The league pointed out that the “Kafr Qassem” massacre was an organized Israeli massacre with the prior intention and determination to break the will of the Palestinian people and the Arab nation, and to this day the series of massacres continue.
It pointed to the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza, which led to the martyrdom of 67 Palestinian children, noting that this year 2022 was one of the bloodiest years, as more than 170 Palestinian were murdered by this criminal occupation.
