Israeli occupation forces IOF carried out a military raid in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, killing at least nine Palestinians and wounding several others on Monday early morning, July 3, 2023.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that nine Palestinians were killed and at least 25 others were wounded during the Israeli aggression on Jenin.
In a statement, the Health Ministry pointed out that 8 of the injuries were described as serious while IOF killed a Palestinian youth at the entrance of Al-Bireh.
Ongoing Aggression
Israeli troops, accompanied by bulldozers and warplanes, raided occupied Jenin in the pre-dawn hours of Monday while the Israeli occupation army announced it started a wide-scale “military operation” in Jenin.
The incursion sparked confrontations with Palestinian youths at the entrances of the city. An exchange of fire took place between IOF and Palestinian resistance in the area.
Palestinian local sources reported that Israeli occupation warplanes carried multiple airstrikes on Jenin, targeting several sites.


Earlier in June 2023, Israeli weaponized drones killed three Palestinians after targeting a car in Jenin. It was the first time in 18 years for Israel to use missiles in killing West Bank Palestinians.
Israeli media sources reported that more than 1000 Israeli soldiers took part in the incursion, describing it as the largest since 2002.
Massive Destruction, Detention
Palestinian media sources shared videos that document the destruction left by Israeli troops in Jenin streets and homes.
An Israeli military bulldozer was also seen razing a Palestinian street during the incursion in Jenin.
In addition, IOF kidnapped 15 Palestinians during raids on several Palestinian homes in different parts of occupied Jenin.
Israeli snipers, deploying at the buildings of Palestinian families in Jenin, still open fire on Palestinian youths while protesting against the aggression, locals reported.
Israeli troops killed 11 Palestinians, including three children, during military incursions into Jenin in June 2023.
On June 19, 2023, Israeli occupation forces carried out a deadly raid in occupied Jenin. 8 Palestinians, including two children, were killed by Israeli gunfire.
In addition, Israeli occupation forces shot and injured at least 91 Palestinians during the same incursion in the Al-Jabyriat neighborhood.
