DayofPal— Israeli forces continued military attacks across several areas of the Gaza Strip, carrying out extensive shelling and demolition in eastern Khan Younis and Gaza City.
A Palestinian man was reportedly killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting the Al-Mughraqa area in central Gaza early Wednesday morning.
Residents reported hearing a series of powerful explosions overnight and at dawn as Israeli forces carried out at least eight demolition operations east of Khan Younis. Similar demolitions were also reported east of Gaza City.
Israeli forces continue to destroy remaining residential buildings and infrastructure within areas designated by Palestinians as the “Yellow Line,” a zone located near the east of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli artillery also shelled eastern Gaza City, while military vehicles opened heavy fire toward eastern Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The latest attack follow an Israeli drone strike on the Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City on Tuesday night, which reportedly injured ten Palestinians, including children.
The strike targeted civilians near Abu Asi School in the northern part of the camp, local sources revealed.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, two Palestinians were injured, one critically, in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis.
Palestinian officials say Israeli forces have continued to violate the ceasefire agreement through air and artillery attacks, demolitions, and restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel.
According to figures released by Gaza’s Health Ministry, 936 Palestinians have been killed and 2,860 injured since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10 of last year. Authorities also reported the recovery of 781 bodies during the same period.
The ministry added that the overall death toll since the outbreak of the war on October 7, 2023, has reached 72,798, with 172,967 people injured, underscoring the ongoing humanitarian toll of the war.
