Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli occupation forces, uprooted on Friday, January 13, more than 60 olive trees in the Palestinian-owned lands in Kafr Al-Deik village, south of occupied Salfit.
Palestinian local sources reported that the settlers uprooted 65 olive trees owned by the Palestinian farmers Mustafa Jabara, Tayseer Yaqoub, and Jamil Jomaa.
Farmer Jabara reported that the Israeli settlers uprooted 35 olive seedlings from his land and about 20 others in the neighboring lands.
He added that the settlers uprooted about 80 olive trees from his land over the past three years located in the occupied West Bank city of Salfit.
According to Palestinian figures, Israeli occupation forces and settlers uprooted, burnt, and destroyed about 18,900 Palestinian trees in 2022, mostly olive trees.
The figures pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities confiscated about 112,435 acres of Palestinian lands during the same period in favor of the settlement expansion.
