Israeli settlers stole a number of sheep from the Palestinian lands in Qarawet Bani Hassan town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit, on Friday, February 10.
The Mayor of Qarawet Bani Hassan Ibrahim Assi reported that Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian shepherds in their lands.
He explained that settlers assaulted the Palestinian shepherd Abelaziz Merei and stole 6 sheep belonging to shepherd Mohammed Merei.
Confrontations broke out in the area as Israeli occupation forces came to protect and support settlers in the area, Assi added.
Currently, about 600,000 Israeli settlers live in over 230 illegal settlements built since 1967 in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
They routinely carry attacks against Palestinians and their properties under full support and protection from Israeli occupation forces.
