In the wake of the announcement by the Minister of National Security in the far-right Israeli occupation government, Itamar Ben Gvir, of a military operation on Jerusalem, opposition leader Yair Lapid attacked him and described him as “the minister of TikTok and loaves of bread.”
Yair Lapid, the former prime minister in the occupation government and the current leader of the opposition party, said, “The Minister of Tik Tok and Loaves of Bread instructed to enter into the ‘Defensive Wall 2’ military operation.”
He added, “There is no cabinet, no assessment of the situation, and no coordination between the security forces, and if it wasn’t serious, it would be just as ridiculous.”
Commenting on Ben Gvir’s call to launch the “Defensive Wall 2” operation in Jerusalem, Ro’i Sharon, the Israeli Kan channel’s correspondent, also said, “These are meaningless statements that have no value and no meaning for a military operation similar to the “Defensive Wall 1” in East Jerusalem.”
Similar to the “Defensive Wall 1” operation, a few days ago, the extremist Itamar Ben Gvir announced the “Defensive Wall 2” military operation in the occupied city of Jerusalem, which targets Palestinian citizens in the city.
In 2002, the Israeli occupation, headed by Sharon Ariel, announced the military invasion of the West Bank known as the “Defensive Wall 1”, during which the Israeli occupation forces murdered more than 250 Palestinian citizens, and detained about 5,000 others.
