A group of Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, razed Sunday, July 23, 2023, more than 15 Palestinian-owned dunums in the Khallet Taha area, southwest of occupied Hebron, and illegally set up tents there.
Local sources reported that Israeli settlers of “Nagahot”, located between the Palestinian villages of Deir Samet and Beit Awa, razed lands belonging to the Al-Masalmeh Palestinian family and set up two tents there.
Sources added that dozens of Israeli settlers attacked and assaulted Palestinian shepherds and forced them to leave the area at gunpoint.
According to latest Amnesty International reports, Israeli settlers have been violating Palestinians’ right of life, as Israeli forces and security guards have unlawfully killed and injured many Palestinian civilians including during protests against the confiscation of land and the construction of settlements.
It’s worth noting that more than 650,000 colonial settlers are distributed among 164 illegal settlements and 124 outposts built on the stolen lands of occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
