Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official responsible for the issue of settlements in Nablus, said today that 144 assaults were perpetrated by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians and their properties last night.
He informed WAFA that extremist settler organizations hurled rocks and partially damaged up to 120 vehicles on the roads, while burning six vehicles entirely and destroying them. In Huwwara town, at least 22 Palestinian–owned stores were assaulted by settlers.
Illegal Israeli settler groups were reported to have thrown stones at 120 vehicles, completely destroying six of them, and also attacked 22 Palestinian–owned shops in the town of Huwwara.
Daghlas said that the bulk of the assaults centered on the towns and hamlets of Huwwara, Madama, Qusra, Jorish and Majdal Bani Fadel.
Douglas cautioned that there had been a sharp rise in aggressions against Palestinians in the West Bank, emphasizing the rapid growth in terror assaults against Palestinian people and their assets.
The recent assaults are part of a continuous streak of illegal settlers’ brutality that has been promoted by the right–wing Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu and further incited by his ultranationalist ministers Itamar Ben–Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.
