Israeli occupation forces on Sunday morning blocked off a Palestinian house in the al–Tour area of occupied Jerusalem in order to carry out its planned punitive demolition.
A few hours after the Israeli occupation far-right government made a decision to shut off the residence of Khairy Alqam who is accused of carrying out an attack in Jerusalem last Friday.
Yesterday, the Israeli forces took control of Alqam‘s home and arrested numerous family members, including his father, as well as other relatives. They also began to map the house and get ready to carry out a punitive demolition.
The Israeli occupation government has often resorted to demolishing the homes of Palestinians accused of attacking Israelis as a form of punishment, but this same policy is not implemented when Israeli settlers have been responsible for killing Palestinians.
Human rights organizations have strongly denounced the policy as an unjust collective punishment and a violation of international law.
