DaysofPal — Eleven Palestinian families from a Bedouin community east of Ramallah have been forcibly displaced from their homes and left to an unknown destination following a surge in settler attacks, according to a local rights organization.
The group, from the al-Khalayel Bedouin encampment in the village of al-Mughayyir, said repeated harassment and land incursions by settlers left residents with no choice but to abandon their shelters and traditional livelihoods.
Al-Baidar Organization for Human Rights reported that the displacement amounts to a forced evacuation, noting that settlers carried out frequent raids on the area, intimidated residents, and restricted access to land.
The organization said the ongoing attacks have severely undermined the community’s security and living conditions, describing the situation as a blatant violation of international human rights law and a factor worsening the already fragile humanitarian situation.
More than 50 people are affected by the displacement. The families had previously been forced to leave the nearby Ein Samiya community three years ago due to similar attacks, only to face a second displacement with no clear destination.
Residents are now packing belongings and livestock as they prepare to move once again, amid uncertainty over where they will be able to resettle.
