DaysofPal-Several Palestinians were injured on Friday morning after Israeli settlers carried out attacks in areas south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Witnesses reported that farmers were assaulted in the Jabal Ein al-Ain area between the villages of Talfit and Qusra, resulting in multiple injuries.
In a separate incident, settlers set fire to several unoccupied tents in the al-Maita area of the northern Jordan Valley. The tents belonged to Palestinian families who had previously been forcibly displaced due to escalating threats and attacks.
The violence comes amid a continuing surge in incidents; the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission recorded 1,872 attacks by Israeli forces and settlers during January alone.
From the early hours of Friday, multiple locations experienced field escalations by settler groups operating under the protection of Israeli forces.
In the Nablus governorate, settlers attacked the outskirts of the towns of Qusra and Jalud southeast of the city, targeting civilian property and attempting to destroy agricultural greenhouses before residents intervened.
Armed settler groups also deployed along the Yitzhar bypass road, obstructing movement for Palestinians traveling to attend Friday prayers.
Settlers later entered the town of Talfit south of Nablus, conducting provocative patrols and vandalizing property.
In the Bethlehem governorate, settlers pursued farmers and shepherds in the Khallet al-Louz area from early morning, preventing them from reaching their land in an attempt to impose new settlement realities.
In the occupied Jerusalem area, settlers stormed agricultural lands in Shaab al-Butm and nearby villages in the Masafer Yatta region south of Hebron, extending toward southern rural Jerusalem. Several olive trees were cut down during the incursions.
Settlers also imposed strict restrictions at checkpoints surrounding Jerusalem while calls circulated among settler groups to gather near the gates of the Old City.
Another group entered the Khillet al-Sidra community near the town of Mikhmas, northeast of Jerusalem.
