DayofPal—Israeli forces have reportedly moved the block markers known for the “yellow line” further east of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza, according to local accounts and circulating footage.
Residents say the shift has resulted in the seizure of additional civilian land near Al-Tawashi Roundabout on Al-Sultan Street.
Witnesses described a tense overnight situation, with one resident saying that “10 dunums” of her family’s farmland were lost.
Others said heavy gunfire accompanied the advance and warned that the changes may be part of a broader effort to expand control over eastern parts of the Salah Al-Din area.
One resident told reporters: “It was a very difficult night… it seems they intend to annex all of eastern Salah Al-Din.”
The reported changes come as Israeli control has expanded significantly in recent months, with Haaretz revealed that more than 60% of the Gaza Strip is now under Israeli control.
Last month on the anniversary of Israel occupation of Jerusalem, war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu celebrated the expansion of the Yellow line and vows to swallow more lands.
The “orange line” is eating up even more lands with the humanitarian organizations saying they request coordination with Israeli forces for access, raising concerns among aid groups about operational restrictions and civilian safety in affected areas.
