DayofPal—A new report by the Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem says Israeli forces killed 54 Palestinian children and teenagers in the occupied West Bank during 2025.
This markes the highest annual rate of child fatalities in the territory since Israel occupied it in 1967.
According to the report, Israeli forces killed 1,086 Palestinians in the West Bank between October 7, 2023, and June 28, 2026, including 241 children and teenagers.
The organization said minors accounted for nearly one in every four Palestinians killed during that period.
B’Tselem said it is unaware of a single indictment filed in Israel since October 2023 over the killing of Palestinians in the West Bank, including cases involving children, confirming that the killing have occurred amid a broader lack of accountability.
The report also documents repeated Israeli interference with emergency medical response.
It says that in nearly one-quarter of the cases it documented in 2025, Israeli forces delayed or prevented ambulances, medical teams, or local residents from reaching wounded children and teenagers to provide life-saving treatment.
According to the organization, these delays reduced the victims’ chances of survival and, in some cases, worsened their condition before they could receive medical care.
In addition, B’Tselem said Israeli authorities are continuing to withhold the bodies of 18 of the 54 Palestinian children and teenagers killed in the West Bank this year.
The organization stated that the documented cases reflect a broader Israeli policy that has expanded the use of lethal force against Palestinians while providing little accountability for those responsible.
