Israeli media reported that extremist Israeli settlers threw stones at the Israeli occupation forces in the west of Nablus.
In another incident, it added, “a settler tried to run over an army officer who was standing at a checkpoint, and the force responded by shooting the car’s tires, but he managed to escape.”
Israeli media said that one of the leaders of the Israeli occupation army was subjected to verbal and physical assault on Sunday when he tried to remove Israeli settlers who were throwing Palestinian cars at the “Rimonim” settlement near Ramallah.
Commenting on these attacks, opposition leader Yair Lapid responded, “The militias of Ben Gvir and Smotrich are continuing their barbaric actions, which will endanger the army,” adding, “Netanyahu has lost control of his government. Stop this madness before it’s too late.”
For his part, Minister of Defense Gallant commented after settlers attempted to run over an Israeli force in Hawara, “the attack by Jewish rioters on Israeli soldiers is a wrong and very dangerous act. There will be no tolerance for violators of the law.”
However, the Israeli occupation did not condemn or reject the extremist settlers’ attacks on the Palestinians, the burning of their property, and the injury of hundreds of them in recent days.
Rather, many Israeli ministers and leaders like Ben Gvir and Smotrich called on settlers to escalate their attack on Palestinians and kill them.
