The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs stated Monday, February 6, 2023 that the administration of Damon Prison stormed the “minors” section, assaulted many and imposed harsh penalties and unfair conditions against them.

The commission added in a statement that the administration of Damon Prison decided to deprive the Palestinian minors of any telephone contact, confiscated electrical tools, prevented visits for a month, turned their rooms into cells for a period of 4 days, and decided to close the “cantina” for a week.

The Israeli occupation prisons intensified its attacks on Palestinian male and female prisoners inside Israeli Jails in light of the escalation of measures taken by the extremist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, against Palestinian prisoners.

Note that 4,500 Palestinians are currently detained inside Israeli occupation prisons, including 400 who have severe and chronic illnesses, 31 women, and 500 administrative detainees.

In the absence of strong pressure to stop the systematic inhumane abuses, the racist and fascist policies of the Prison Service Administration have a negative impact on Palestinian detainees, especially amid the emergence of the new Israeli extremist government.
