The Israeli occupation forces continue on Thursday, May 11, 2023, to close Gaza crossings for the third consecutive day.
The closure comes in conjunction with the sudden Israeli aggression on Gaza, which resulted in the assassination of three prominent leaders in the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement’s Al-Quds Brigades.
The occupation forces prevent trucks carrying goods, basic materials, medicines, and fuel from entering the Strip, as well as preventing entry and exit from the Beit Hanoun “Erez” crossing, including humanitarian workers.
Meanwhile, a number of foreign diplomats and staff at foreign institutions remain locked up in the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli occupation refuses to allow them to leave until this moment.
The Israeli occupation also prevents foreign press crews from accessing Gaza to cover the ongoing Israeli assault in an effort to cover his crimes against Palestinians.
The closure has prevented 292 patients, mostly cancer patients, and their companions, as well as 15 life-saving cases, from leaving to receive treatment in hospitals in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and ‘Israel’.
The Ministry of Health stated that preventing patients from accessing specialized hospitals is a violation of international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention.
The Ministry also called on relevant parties to put pressure on the Israeli occupation to facilitate the departure of patients transferred for life-saving treatment before it is too late.
