Israeli occupation forces notified Thursday, 8 December 2022 Palestinian residents of demolishing a house and halting construction in others in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.
Israeli occupation forces raided the Ma’in area east of Yatta and ordered the demolition of a three-story house belonging to Palestinian man Ibrahim Muhammad Khalil Abu al-Anabiyyah, leaving 20 Palestinians including children homeless.
Israeli occupation authorities notified the Palestinian man Raed Muhammad Al-Badawi to stop construction in his 140 square meters home along with a 150 square meters home belonging to the Palestinian man Ahmed Issa Younes.
Israeli occupation is trying in various ways to forcibly displace Palestinians from their own lands and demolish their homes in favor of settlement expansion using pretexts most notably building without a permit.
Since the beginning of 2022, Israeli occupation demolished 300 Palestinian-owned structures in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, according to the United Nations Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OCHA).
The organization explained that most of the demolitions were carried out under the pretext of lacking a building permit, noting that “it is almost impossible for Palestinians to obtain such or that permit.”
