Israeli occupation forces committed Wednesday, February 22, 2023, a massacre in the city of Nablus, in which they murdered 10 Palestinian citizens, including a child and two elderly people, and injured more than 102 others, including 7 serious injuries.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated, in a brief statement, that the occupation forces killed Adnan Baara, 72, Mohammad Anbousi, 25, Tamer Minawi, 33, Musab Awais, 26, Hussam Aslim, 24, Mohammad Abdel Ghani, 23, Walid Dakhil, 23, Abdel Hadi Ashqar, 61 years old, the child Mohammad Shaaban, 16, and Jasser Qaneer, 23.
It pointed out that the number of injured Palestinians reached 102, including 7 in critical condition, distributed in the city’s hospitals. Rafidia Governmental Hospital received 47 injuries with live bullets, including 3 serious injuries, while Nablus Specialized Hospital received 20 injuries, one of them is critical. In addition, Al-Najah Hospital received 15 injuries, including three in critical condition, and there are 9 injuries in Al-Ittihad Women’s Hospital, and 11 others in the Arab Specialist Hospital.
Today’s morning, the Israeli occupation forces extensively stormed the Old City of Nablus, surrounded a house and opened fire intensively.
Local media sources said that violent confrontations broke out between the Palestinian citizens and the occupation forces, who fired live bullets and sound and gas bombs at them, which led to the injury of dozens pf Palestinian citizens with live bullets.
The Red Crescent Ambulance and Emergency Director in Nablus, Ahmed Jibril, stated that the occupation forces prevented the medical staff from reaching the besieged place in Sheikh Muslim neighborhood in the Old City.
The Palestinian authorities, institutions and citizens in Nablus announced a comprehensive strike for tomorrow, Thursday, mourning the martyrs.
With the kill of the ten Palestinian citizens in Nablus, the number of Palestinians killed by the occupation forces and settlers snice the beginning of this year has risen to 62, including 13 children, three elderly Palestinians, and a detainee in the occupation prisons.
