Days of Palestine – Gaza
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday morning infiltrated Gaza’s border area in the east of the central Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, six armored bulldozers and one grader escorted by two Merkava tanks advanced from a military post into a border area in the east of Deir al-Balah.
The heavy machinery embarked on leveling and digging swaths of agricultural land, which are located about 50 meters from the border fence.
Other Merkava tanks and military jeeps were behind the security fence while some drones were seen overflying the area to provide more protection for the infiltrating units.
The eastern border areas of Gaza are repeatedly exposed to Israeli military incursions and gunfire attacks, which causes considerable damage to crops and prevents farmers from working their lands.
Israeli border incursions are seen as violations of the last ceasefire understandings brokered by mediators between the Palestinian resistance and Israel.
