Israeli occupation forces on Monday destroyed several buildings and razed a piece of land in the occupied Jerusalem, sources reported.
Israeli bulldozers destroyed a wall, a business building, and razed a piece of land owned by Akram Shuqairat in Jabal al–Mukkaber in East Jerusalem.
Israeli bulldozers, additionally, demolished a wall owned by local resident Kareem Abu Tayeh in the town of Silwan, south of al-Aqsa mosque.
Yesterday, bulldozers escorted by the Israeli occupation force invaded the Jabal al–Mukabir neighborhood prior to demolishing a two–story building that housed Rateb and Husam Matar, resulting in the displacement of both families, including children and women.
An increase in the destruction of Palestinian–owned dwellings in the occupied territories has been observed since the induction of the new right–wing Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu, which includes extremists like Itamar Ben–Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, both of whom support the displacement of Palestinians and the demolitions of their homes to speed up the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
The Israeli Cabinet‘s orders are being followed through with the demolition of 14 Palestinian homes in Jerusalem, as the process has officially begun.
