Days of Palestine – Ramallah
The so-called Israeli “Execution and Collection Authority” has distributed demolition orders and exorbitant financial fines to many Palestinian-owned homes and commercial interests in the occupied city of Kafr Qara.
Local sources stated that some of the targeted homes have been in existence for more than 20 years, in different areas of the town.
In distributing demolition orders, the occupation authorities claimed that there were no plans in the areas where the interests and homes are located.
Hundreds of civil servants, technicians, and workers have been employed by the interests for many years, and demolition orders and fines threaten the livelihoods of families in the town and beyond.
Among the interests that received fines, there is a factory for making pickles, a plastics factory, a stone factory, and a huge warehouse, which will incur heavy fines for the aforementioned stakeholders.
On Wednesday evening, an emergency meeting was held in the Kafr Qara’ Local Council, with the participation of the heads of local authorities in the Triangle area, following the distribution of demolition orders and the imposition of fines, to discuss steps to respond to them.
