Af.M | DOP -

Israeli occupation closed Thursday, 15 September 2022 the murder case of the Palestinian youth Muhammad Kiwan Mahamid who was fatally shot by Israeli forces in the 1948-occupied city of Umm al-Fahm, under the pretext of absence of evidence.

Local media reported that the Israeli Police Investigation Unit ‘Mahash’ closed the investigation file into the murder of the Palestinian young Mohamed Kiwan, who was shot dead by the Israeli forces during Haifa’s uprising in May 2021 which is known locally as the “Karamah Uprising.”

The Israeli Police Investigation Unit ‘Mahash’ closed the file, claiming that the evidence was not enough to convict the Israeli officer who shot Muhammad.

Muhammad, a 17-year-old high school student, participated in a peaceful protest with other Palestinian youths on 12 May against the Israeli forced expulsion of Palestinian families from their homes in the occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.

Israeli occupation violently suppressed the peaceful protest where Palestinian boy Muhammad was shot directly in the head in May 2021.
