DaysofPal- For the ninth day in a row, the Israeli occupation has maintained its siege on Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, subjecting the area to continuous bombardment that has caused numerous casualties, including women and children.
Reports indicate that at least 300 people have died, and the situation is deteriorating because Red Crescent teams and ambulances are unable to function and reach those in need due to fuel shortages.
In recent days, Israeli forces have initiated a renewed offensive in northern Gaza, as the military appears to be starting to execute the ‘general’s plan,’ which intends to forcibly displace more than 400,000 Palestinians in the area.
“We are literally living our final moments. O Allah, grant us a good end,”
a Palestinian man from north Gaza describes the dire situation in Jabalia as the world remains silent: “The occupation is blowing up roads and destroying residential districts. People don’t find anything to eat. They are trapped inside their homes, fearing bombs could fall onto their heads”.
Palestinian Ambassador Majed Bamya, the deputy permanent observer to the UN, considered this ongoing in northern Gaza as ”a genocide within the genocide”.
The death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks that began on October 7 has risen to 42,227, while the number of injured has increased to 98,464, Gaza’s Ministry of Health said on Sunday.
