DaysofPal- The Israeli Occupation forces intensified air and artillery strikes on Gaza early Monday, marking the 724th consecutive day of the unfolding Israeli genocide against civilians and displaced families in the besieged enclave.
According to medical sources, at least 52 Palestinians were killed on Sunday, including nine people waiting for aid distributions, while 17 others were killed since Monday morning.
Dozens more sustained injuries across multiple districts as bombardments targeted residential areas, hospitals, and refugee shelters.
Hospitals across the strip reported receiving victims throughout the day. The toll included eight bodies at al-Shifa Hospital, eight at al-Ma’madani, 18 at al-Awda, six at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, and 12 at Nasser Medical Complex.
Despite the relentless attacks, Gaza’s Ministry of Health confirmed that al-Shifa Medical Complex continues to operate, though under severe strain. The ministry warned of growing challenges in the health sector, especially in Gaza City, where access to hospitals is becoming increasingly restricted.
The deputy health minister said Israeli forces had cut off internet services at al-Helou Hospital in Gaza City, leaving medical teams and patients in a state of panic. He added that the hospital itself was hit by two shells, further complicating access.
Overnight strikes left widespread devastation. Four members of the same family were killed when Israeli warplanes targeted the Palestinian Medical Council building near al-Katiba Square in western Gaza City.
Emergency crews also recovered ten bodies from al-Nasr Street, though others remain trapped under rubble.
Drone and artillery fire continued into the early hours of Monday, striking multiple neighborhoods including al-Sabra, al-Zeitoun, and al-Rimal. Israeli forces deployed explosive-laden robots in al-Nasr Street, detonating them between residential buildings.
Medical teams in Gaza continue to warn of a deteriorating situation, with hospitals overwhelmed and rescue crews struggling under fire.
Witnesses described fires breaking out in residential blocks, including the al-Kharoubi building near al-Palmeira restaurant in Gaza City, following direct strikes.
Meanwhile, displaced families remain highly vulnerable. Al-Awda Hospital reported treating three people, including a child, who were wounded while fleeing along al-Rashid Street west of Gaza City.
With communications blackouts, ongoing shelling, and repeated strikes on medical facilities, aid workers warn that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is approaching a breaking point.
