Israeli occupation forces injured two young Palestinians following intense clashes that erupted with Israeli occupation forces on Thursday evening in the town of Beit Ummar, situated north of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the confrontations flared up when Israeli occupation forces forcefully entered the Al-Dhahr area, which is adjacent to the “Carmei Tzur” settlement. During the incursion, Israeli occupation soldiers resorted to the use of live ammunition, rubber bullets, tear gas canisters, and sound grenades to disperse the protesting Palestinians.
The clashes resulted in the injury of two young men who were struck by live bullets in the foot and knee. Both injured individuals were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. Additionally, several other protesters suffered from suffocation due to tear gas inhalation and received immediate care on-site.
The tense situation in Beit Ummar underscores the ongoing Israeli violations in the region, as Palestinians continue to resist Israeli occupation and settlements.
