Israeli occupation court issued on Sunday, June 18, 2023, a decision to demolish Umm Qussa Primary School in the outskirts of Yatta, located in the south of Hebron.
Youssef Al-Bsayita, the school’s director, stated that the occupation forces had previously notified the school of its impending demolition last year.
They also prevented the local community from adding new classroom units.
He pointed out that the school consists of tin rooms and currently educates 58 female students in the elementary stage from the towns of Al-Makhroub, Qussa, and Al-Abidiya.
Al-Bsayita clarified that the Israeli occupation court informed the school’s lawyer of the demolition decision, giving them a seven-day notice.
On another note, Israeli occupation forces closed an agricultural road in the town of Deir Istiya, west of Salfit, today, Sunday.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces closed an agricultural road using dirt barriers in the Al-Qa’da area, north of Deir Istiya.
