DaysofPal – Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip continued for the 231st consecutive day, despite the truce reached through Arab and US mediation in October 2025, which came into effect on October 11 of that year.
A source in Gaza’s emergency and ambulance services said 10 Palestinians were killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in central Gaza City.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that its crews recovered the bodies of 10 victims, including four children, and evacuated more than 20 injured people following the strike on a home located on Omar al-Mukhtar Street in central Gaza City. Hospital sources said the overall death toll across Gaza since Wednesday morning had risen to 21.
According to local reports, Israeli warplanes fired three missiles at an apartment inside a residential building surrounded by tents sheltering displaced families. Medical sources said most of the wounded transferred to Gaza City hospitals were in critical condition.
Medical sources identified the victims as Ahmed Abdel Wahab Abu Halima, 43, Nour Ahmed Abdel Wahab Abu Halima, 12, Yamen Ahmed Abdel Wahab Abu Halima, 13, Israa Imad Salim, 17, Sidra Iyad Azzam, 12, Sarah Sameh Rajab, 9, Imad Hassan Salim, Shaimaa Khalil Shaaban al-Suweirki, 28, Ihsan Matar Balbul, 81, and Ataf Sobhi Balbul, 47.
Hours before the latest strike, the Qassam Brigades announced the killing of Mohammed Odeh, whom it described as its chief of staff, stating that the assassination of senior leaders would only strengthen its determination to continue what it called the path of resistance.
Large crowds of Palestinians later took part in the funeral procession for Odeh, who was killed together with his wife and two of his children in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City’s al-Rimal neighborhood.
Israeli artillery also shelled eastern districts of Khan Younis and targeted areas in and around al-Bureij camp in central Gaza.
Israeli occupation forces have violated the ceasefire agreement 3,005 times since it went into effect 227 days ago, according to an announcement made by Gaza’s Government Media Office on Wednesday. The office said the reported violations resulted in the deaths of 910 Palestinians, injuries to 2,747 others, and the arrest of 82 people.
In a statement, the office said the violations included bombardment, direct attacks on civilians, the destruction of entire residential blocks, repeated shootings, and military incursions into populated areas.
The statement also accused Israel of severely restricting humanitarian aid deliveries. According to the figures released, only 49,973 aid trucks had entered Gaza out of the 135,600 trucks that were expected under the agreement, representing a compliance rate of just 36 percent.
The office added that only 5,636 travelers had been allowed to leave Gaza out of 17,000 registered cases, representing 34 percent of the agreed number. It said the restrictions formed part of a broader policy aimed at obstructing humanitarian movement and limiting civilian travel.
