DaysofPal — Hamas has called for intensified support and solidarity with Palestinians during Eid al-Adha, urging that the holiday be used as an opportunity to strengthen unity and expand efforts to assist people facing ongoing Israeli Genocide.
In a statement issued Tuesday evening, the movement extended its congratulations to Palestinians and the wider Arab and Muslim world on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
It emphasized that this year’s holiday comes amid a worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, driven by the continued impact of war, blockade, and severe economic conditions.
Hamas said the situation has been exacerbated by the ongoing Israeli restrictions, including the closure of crossings and limitations on the entry of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and relief materials.
The statement also pointed to continued tensions and developments in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The group called on Palestinians to use the days of Eid to reinforce social cohesion, compassion, and mutual support, expressing hope that unity would contribute to achieving broader national aspirations, including freedom and independence.
Hamas also extended greetings to Muslims worldwide and to pilgrims performing Hajj, wishing them a safe and accepted pilgrimage.
It expressed hope that the holiday would return in the future under improved conditions marked by stability and collective progress.
The statement further urged increased humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting Palestinians, particularly in Gaza, and called for greater international and regional solidarity efforts.
In conclusion, Hamas paid tribute to those killed in the conflict, wished a speedy recovery for the wounded, and called for the release of detainees.
It reaffirmed its commitment to continued resilience, expressing hope for eventual peace and improved conditions for Palestinians.
