DaysofPal- The Israeli genocide continues in the Gaza Strip, particularly in northern Gaza, where a relentless Israeli massacre has been ongoing for 17 days, claiming the lives of over 750 Palestinian civilians, most of them women and children, with hundreds more wounded and reported missing.
In addition, dozens of victims are still scattered on the streets and under the rubble of houses as rescue teams cannot reach due to the ongoing Israeli bombing and random killing.
On Tuesday morning, October 22, 2024, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched an intensive bombing campaign on the Beit Lahia project area, home to tens of thousands of displaced people.
The IOF warned residents via drones to leave and head to Israeli army checkpoints, threatening to bomb their houses if they refused.
Moreover, the IOF bombed the several school-turned-shelters in Jabalia camp and burnt homes, so none of the displaced people could return to them.
After being forced to head south, the IOF attacked the displaced people they had besieged on the roads and at military checkpoints, arresting many and sending women and children to an unknown destination.
Moreover, the IOF besieged Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia camp, the only operating hospital in northern Gaza, firing several shells into the hospital yard after threatening the medical staff and displaced people to evacuate, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and wounding dozens of others.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, stated that IOF continue to intermittently shoot at the hospital, which has become a large mass grave due to the numerous victims crowding inside.
Abu Safiya added that the situation in northern Gaza is catastrophic, with people being killed in the streets. He emphasized that medical crews will not leave Kamal Adwan Hospital, despite the occupation’s repeated threats.
The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor stated that IOF is systematically and extensively working to expel the Palestinian population and forcibly displace them from their residential areas in the northern Gaza Strip, amid ongoing massacres, mass killings, bombings of hospitals and shelters, and the destruction of already dilapidated necessities of life.
Palestinian Eyewitnesses from Jabalia camp reported that the IOF used loudspeakers to call families, residents, and displaced persons, demanding they evacuate their homes and shelters under the threat of armed force.
As soon as people stepped out toward the occupation forces, they were shot at, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries.
In fear, many fled back to their homes, after which IOF fired incendiary shells and artillery at the residences
The IOF continues to commit massacres against Palestinian civilians in what is considered one of the most horrific genocides in modern history, claiming the lives of 150,000 martyrs, along with many wounded and missing individuals from the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian medical sources reported that the death toll has reached 42,519, with an additional 99,637 individuals wounded.
